Independent grocery stores are always busy. Here's our two cents: checkout lines shouldn't slow down over penny math.

Vori now automatically rounds cash transactions to the nearest $0.05 — eliminating the need for pennies at the register. When a customer pays cash, the total is rounded up or down based on standard rounding rules. No configuration needed. No cashier decision required. It just works.

This feature is especially valuable for stores that have moved away from keeping pennies in the till — a growing trend as coin shortages and transaction speed become higher priorities for operators. What changes: cash totals round automatically at checkout. What doesn't change: card transactions, EBT, WIC, and all other payment types are unaffected and always settled to the exact cent. To enable Cash Rounding for your store, go to your Vori Back Office, navigate to Settings, then POS.

Full setup instructions are available here.
